The Misericordia University volleyball team split a pair of matches at the Cougar Clash, Saturday at the Anderson Center.
Tournament MVP Cassandra Genduso had eight kills and three aces in a 3-1 loss to Hunter. Â Keira McCaffrey had seven kills and two blocks and Jenna Schuda had 22 assists, six kills and 15 digs.
The Cougars rebounded with a 3-0 win over Oneonta. Â All-Tournament selection Meghan Peters had 10 kills and four aces and Genduso had nine kills and five aces.
Schuda had 25 assists and Rachel LoFaso had seven kills.
Misericordia took the second set against Hunter, 25-17, to even the match, but the Hawks took the next two sets to clinch the win.
MU sandwiched a pair of convincing wins around a 25-23 win to sweep Oneonta.
The Cougars raced out to a 7-0 lead in the finale and never looked back en route to a 25-9.
Misericordia will host DeSales in a MAC Freedom match, Tuesday.
