The Misericordia University women's basketball team fell at Stevens, 48-39, Saturday.
Emily Romanowski led the Cougars with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Ava Cirigliano had eight points and
Jocelyn Grosch had five rebounds and five assists.
Down 11-4 late in the first quarter,
Chloe Captoni hit a three-pointer and Romanowski added a free throw to get the Cougars within 11-8 with 2:34 to go.
The Ducks added a basket to lead 13-5 after one period.
Romanowski and Captoni both hit three-pointers in the second quarter and Cirigliano scored at the buzzer, but the Cougars trailed 26-15 at halftime.
Samantha Casey's layup got the Cougars within 33-27 late in the third quarter, but the Ducks got a late layup to take a 38-29 into the fourth period.
Grosch hit a three-pointer in the opening minute of the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 40-33, but the Ducks scored seven straight points to re-take control.
