The Misericordia University men's basketball team evened its MAC Freedom record with a 74-53 win over FDU-Florham, Saturday afternoon on Doc Mould Court.
 
Kevin Lazdowsky scored 20 points to lead the Cougars while Matt Prociak added 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
 
Jack Gallagher had 11 points and seven rebounds and Derek Smith added 10 points.
 
The Cougars raced out to a 14-0 lead and held the Devils scoreless for the first five minutes of the game.
 
Lazdowsky drilled a three-pointer from the right corner and Gallagher followed with a three-pointer from the opposite corner to give MU a quick 8-0 lead less than two minutes into the game.
 
R.J. Weise's finger-roll made it 10-0 and Prociak's lay-in capped the 14-0 run less than five minutes into the game.
 
Gallagher's floater high off the glass gave the Cougars a 21-6 lead midway through the first half.
 
The Devils chipped away to get within 22-19 with 5:30 to go in the first half, but Smith buried a three-pointer from the left corner and made two free throws to put MU back up by 10 points 29-19.
 
MU maintained a double digit lead throughout the second half.
