Arcadia closed the third quarter on a 16-0 run to break open a close game on the way to a 68-39 win over the Misericordia University women's basketball team, Wednesday night in Glenside.
Jocelyn Grosch led the Cougars with 12 points.Â
Caitlin Landgraf had eight points and Emil Romanowski had six points and five rebounds.
Grosch scored two baskets early in the second half to get the Cougars within 33-29 early in the third quarter, but the Knights scored 16 straight points over the final 6:27 of the period.
The teams went back-and-forth throughout the first period and Romanowski made two straight baskets in the final minute to give MU a 15-13 lead after one period.
Ava Cirigliano made a free throw early in the second quarter to make it 16-13, but Arcadia scored two straight baskets to take the lead for good.
