Jake Perrin made 34 saves to record the first shutout in the history of the Misericordia University hockey team with a 1-0 over Lebanon Valley, Friday night at Hershey Park Arena.
James Eng scored the only goal of the game with an assist from
Brendan Vettraino midway through the second period.
Corbin Scheibel was 5-5 on face-offs and Vettraino was 6-7.
Vettraino gathered a loose puck off a deflection in the Cougars zone and fed Eng who finished the breakaway with a wrist shot inside the right post.
Perrin made 19 stops in the first period and the MU defense stiffened to allow 15 shots on goal over the final 40 minutes.
He made two saves in the final 20 seconds while facing an extra attacker.
