The ninth honoree in the Misericordia Top 100 Student-Athletes of the Century countdown is #92 Alexa McHugh.

McHugh was a four-year letter-winner in softball as a pitcher and shortstop.

In three full seasons, she was a three-time first-team All-MAC Freedom selection and was the MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Year as a junior.

She had at least 13 wins in each of her three seasons and owns a career record of 42-7.

She is tied for the third-lowest single-season earned run average (0.76) in school history and is tied for the career mark at 1.14

In addition, she ranks fifth in school history with 361 strikeouts.

She had a .299 career batting average.

McHugh was the MVP of the 2023 MAC Freedom Championships after leading the Cougars to the conference title and an NCAA Tournament berth.

She was also a two-time NFCA all-region selection.
