The Misericordia University women's volleyball team closed out its home schedule with a sweep of Alvernia, Thursday night on Doc Mould Court.
The Cougars used a balanced attack as nine different players recorded a kill to improve to 19-8 with the non-conference win.
Keira McCaffrey led the Cougars with eight blocks and four kills while
Jennifer Nicometo had seven kills.
Meghan Peters had three aces and
Sarah Kelly and
Cassandra Genduso had three blocks.
Olivia Conza had 10 assists.
Maggie Duda served for six straight points as the Cougars grabbed a quick 6-0 lead in the opener.
Peters had all three of her aces in a 6-0 run that stretched the lead to 18-6.
McCaffrey had two blocks to make it 22-7 and Schuda closed the 25-10 win with a kill.
LoFaso's kill broke a 13-13 tie and her ace gave MU a 19-14 lead.
Sarah Steeber's kill made it 22-15 and Conza eventually closed the 25-19 win with an ace.
Alvernia took a 6-4 lead in the third set, but the Cougars responded with an 8-2 run to go up, 12-8.
Steeber had back-to-back kills to make it 18-14 and McCaffrey sealed the win with a kill.
