The Misericordia University hockey team picked up its first point of the season with a 4-4 tie at Wilkes, Saturday night at the Toyota SportsPlex.
Four different players scored for MU and
Ayden Pierce made 27 saves.
Charles Obobaifo had a goal and an assist for MU and
Jaron Ketterman,
Jonathan Lush and
Corbin Schiebel all added goals.
James Eng and
Jack Tos both had two assists.
Down 1-0 midway through the first period, Obobaifo scored a power play goal at 12:52 to tie the score, 1-1.
Lush gave the Cougars a 2-1 when he stuffed a shot inside the left post just 4:01 into the second period.
Ketterman buried a rebound inside the left post to make it 3-1 at 10:21.
Wilkes got within a goal at 15:45 and then scored a pair of power play goals in a 30-second span to take a 4-3 lead early in the third period.
Schiebel scored on the power play at 14:48 to force overtime.
