The Misericordia University women's basketball team lost at Vassar, 66–30, Saturday.
Ava Cirigliano led the Cougars with nine points and three blocked shots.
Lizzy Mitchell recorded a team-high three assists
Chase Purdy scored the first four points for the Cougars, but Vassar responded with 14 straight points to take control of the first quarter.
Madelyn O'Shea scored on a layup to end the period.
The second quarter was more balanced for Misericordia, thanks to an 11–6 run that included two three-pointers from
Morgan Janeski and five points from Mitchell.
Purdy added a driving layup for the Cougars final points of the half, which ended with Vassar ahead 34–21.
Cirigliano opened the scoring in the third quarter, but a 13–4 run by Vassar set the tone for the period.
The Cougars final points of the quarter came from a layup and a free throw by Cirigliano, and the Brewers led 50–28 heading into the fourth.
Raegan Palmer scored the only points of the fourth quarter for MU on a layup.
