The Misericordia University women's volleyball team ended the regular season with a split of a tri-match with Haverford and York.
The Cougars dropped the opener to Haverford, 3-1, but swept York in the nightcap.
Jennifer Nicometo led the Cougars with 14 kills and two aces against Haverford.
Meghan Peters had nine kills and
Cassandra Genduso had seven kills and five blocks.
Jenna Schuda had 32 assists and 13 digs.
Nicometo had a team-high eight kills against York and
Keira McCaffrey had seven kills and three blocks.
Schuda had 24 assists and five aces and
Maggie Duda had 13 digs.
Peters had eight digs and three aces.
Haverford used big runs in the middle of the first two sets to take a 2-0 lead. The Cougars rallied from a 14-8 deficit to win the third set, 25-23.
The Fords scored four of the final six points to close out the fourth set, 25-21.
Against York, the Cougars scored five straight points to go in front for good in the first set, 15-13.
Keira McCaffrey served for six straight points to give the Cougars an 11-3 lead in the second set and Peters had two aces to key another 6-0 run to make it 18-7.
Genduso had two kills to break a 14-14 tie in the third set and
Sarah Steeber's ace gave the Cougars a 20-15 lead.
The Cougars are 21-9 and will host Lebanon Valley in the MAC Freedom semifinals, Wednesday at 7:00.
