The Misericordia University women's basketball team rallied for a 60-54 overtime win at Muhlenberg, Tuesday.
Emily Romanowski led the Cougars with 15 points while
Caitlin Landgraf added 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Lizzy Mitchell had 10 points and
Ava Cirigliano had eight points and seven rebounds.
Romanowski scored 10 of her 15 points in overtime as the Cougars outscored the Mules, 14-8, in the extra session.
Cirigliano scored on a putback with :08 left in the fourth quarter as the Cougars came from behind to tie the score, 46-46, at the end of regulation.
Landgraf opened OT with a foul line jumper to give MU a 48-46 lead.
Romanowski drained a three-pointer from the left wing to put Misericordia in front for good, 51-48, with 3:34 to play.
She drilled another three-pointer from the right corner to make it 54-50 with 1:41 remaining.
Cirigliano picked up a loose ball and found Romanowski on a back-door cut along the left baseline to give MU a 56-52 lead with less than a minute to go.
Romanowski and Cirigliano both made two free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Down 40-32 entering the fourth quarter, Captoni buried a three-pointer from the right wing.
After a Muhlenberg three-pointer, Cirigliano went coast-to-coast off a steal to cut the Mules' lead to 43-37 with 5:49 to play in regulation.
Mitchell connected a deep three-pointer from the left wing and got a friendly roll on a jumper from the right baseline to pull the Cougars even, 44-44, with 2:59 left.
Muhlenberg went back in front with layup and both teams went scoreless for more than two minutes until Cirigliano tied it with less than 10 seconds to play.
