The Misericordia University women's basketball team defeated Delaware Valley, 52-51, Saturday afternoon in Doylestown.

Ava Cirigliano led the Cougars with 12 points and nine rebounds and Morgan Janeski had 11 points.  Emily Romanowski had nine points and eight rebounds.

Janeski made a pair of free throws with 3:05 to play to put the Cougars in front for good, 49-47.

Chloe Captoni converted a steal into a fastbreak layup to give MU a 51-47 lead with under a minute to play.

Romanowski made one free throw with :26 to play that eventually provided the winning margin.
