The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team opened the 2025 season with a 12-5 loss at Marywood, Wednesday afternoon.
Rachel Shook led the Cougars with two goals while
Alicia Pileggi added a goal and
Adison Harner and
Reagan Harner both scored their first career goals.
Shook and
Reagan Harner had three draw controls each and
Jaden Pare had two caused turnovers.
Pileggi,
Rebecca Fick and
Ryann Gross had a team-high three ground balls.
Gross made 10 saves in goal.
Marywood scored less than three minutes into the game and Pileggi scored unassisted to tie the score with 4:04 left in the first quarter.
Marywood went back in front with 2:29 to go and
Reagan Harner scored a man-up goal one minute later to pull the Cougars even.
Shook scored a man-up goal in the second quarter, but the Pacers scored four times to take a 6-3 halftime lead.
Adison Harner scored in the third quarter and Shook scored midway through the fourth quarter, but Marywood scored four goals over the final 8:01 to secure the win.
