Misericordia University volleyball standout Jared Piontkowski has been named the AVCA National Player of the Week.
 
He the #16 Cougars to a 4-0 week to extend their win streak to six.
 
Playing in three matches, he averaged 5.27 kills per set and 6.38 points per set to go with a .442 hitting percentage, seven aces, and six blocks.
 
He had 16 kills in a sweep of Wilkes, 20 kills in a sweep of King's and 22 kills in a 3-1 win over Marymount.
