The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team's second-half rally came up short in a 12-8 loss at Susquehanna, Wednesday.
Down 10-3 early in the third quarter, the Cougars scored four straight goals to get within 10-7 early in the fourth quarter.
Ty Murawski and
Brendan Stanley led the Cougars with two goals each while
Jared Pelliccione had a goal and three assists.
Connor Bevan added a goal and two assists.Â
Rusty Carr won 16 of 23 face-offs.
Susquehanna scored in the opening minute and built a 5-0 lead through one quarter.Â
Bevan scored unassisted to open the second quarter, but the Riverhawks scored two straight.
Murawski and Stanley scored late in the second half to make it 7-3.
The Riverhawks added a goal with less than a minute to play in the first half.
Dindino made 12 saves in goal for the Cougars.
