The Misericordia University baseball team opened its Florida trip with a 12-4 win over Heidelberg, Saturday.
Jack Regenye had three hits and three RBI and
Brock Bollinger had two hits, two RBI and scored four runs.
Brian Korchok had two hits while
Drew VanHorn drove in two runs and
Owen Cordner scored three runs.
Ha'oa Bode struck out five while allowing just one hit in six innings of relief to earn the win.
VanHorn had a two-run single to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.
Regenye drove in a run on an infield single and Bollinger singled through the right side to plate two runs as the Cougars took a 6-0 lead in the top of the second.
MU took advantage of two HBPs and two errors to stretch its lead to 10-3 in the top of the fifth.
Regenye doubled in a run and
Jake McDonough had a pinch-hit single as the Cougars added two insurance runs in the top of the ninth.
