The Misericordia University baseball team scored in each of the first innings to build a big lead on the way to an 18-7 win at York, Wednesday.
Jack Regenye,
Brock Bollinger and
Shay Gustafson all had three hits for MU while
Brian Korchok,
Gabe Bunn and
Brooks Kanwisher all had two hits.
Max Kneidinger scattered eight hits over five innings to earn the win.
Regenye, Bollinger and McDonough opened the game with three straight singles and the Cougars built a 4-0 lead after one inning.
The Cougars led 7-2 after four innings and broke the game open over the next two innings.
Bunn and Bollinger had RBI-doubles in the fourth and Gustafson had a two-run double to key a four-run fifth.
The Cougars will host Arcadia for their MAC Freedom opener, Friday at 3:30.
