The next honoree in the Misericordia Top 100 Student-Athletes of the Century countdown is #8 Connor Maryniak.

He was a three-year starter on the baseball team, splitting time between shortstop and pitcher's mound.

He was a first-team All-American as a junior and was named the National Player of the Year after leading the Cougars to the 2024 national championship.

In addition, he was a first-team All-MAC Freedom selection and was named MAC Freedom Player of the Year.

He was an All-Region All-Defensive team selection as a sophomore after being named second-team All-MAC Freedom and MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year as a first year.

He owns school single-season records for RBI (70) and total bases (130) and tied the school record for single-season home runs (13).  He is third in single-season hits (71).

He is third in career homers (27), fifth in slugging % (.582), sixth in RBI (137) and seventh in total bases (284).

On the mound, he is second in single-season wins (11) and third in strikeouts (76).

He ranks fifth with 148 career strikeouts.
