The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team opened its MAC Freedom schedule with a 15-12 win at King's, Wednesday evening.

Delaney Campanella and
Rachel Shook had three goals and an assist and
Ashtyn Torbert scored three goals.Â
Jenna Jacques and
Alicia Pileggi had a goal and two assists.

Shook had a team-high draw controls and Pileggi had seven.

Ryann Gross had six saves and seven ground balls.

Trailing 2-1 midway through the first quarter, the Cougars scored four straight goals to take a 5-2 lead.

King's got within 7-6 late in the first half, but Shook and Torbert alternated the next four goals to give MU a 11-6 lead late in the third quarter.

Adison Harner scored with :07 left in the third period to make it 12-7.

Jacques and Campanella scored back-to-back goals early in the fourth quarter as the Cougars stretched their lead to 14-6.

Pileggi added an insurance goal with 5:45 to play.
