The Misericordia University men's soccer team settled for a scoreless draw Wednesday evening at Lycoming College.

Santino Jannotte recorded five saves as part of his second-straight clean sheet.

Noah Romig booted the first shot for the Cougars wide at 22:20. He also created the first scoring opportunity of the second half at 47:06, but it sailed to the right.

All five of Jannotte's saves came in the second half. He moved to the left for his first one at the 50:53 and followed it by stoning a shot to the center at 54:49.

Joseph Majekodunmi attempted the Cougars' third shot of the game, which went wide right at 65:04.

Max Jamieson took his chance at giving MU a lead, but his shot went high at 67:11.
Brody Eisenhart's shot also went wide at 70:08.

Lorenzo Andrade had the best scoring opportunity of the night for the Cougars. He booted a shot to the bottom center, but it was stopped by Lycoming's goalie.

Jannotte made key saves in the final 15 minutes to preserve the tie. It started with denying a shot going over his head at 75:16, and it ended with him putting a halt to two shots going bottom center at 85:40 and 88:28.

Misericordia will play in its home opener Saturday, Sept. 6, at 3:00 p.m. against Gwynedd Mercy. Seniors will be honored before the start of the game.
