The Misericordia University men's basketball team ended its non-conference schedule with an 86-55 loss at Hood, Saturday.

Ryan Nasuti led the Cougars with 18 points while Matt Prociak added 13 points and six rebounds.

Jack Gallagher had eight points, five rebounds and three steals.

Hood jumped to a quick 11-point lead and Nasuti scored five points as part of a 7-0 run to get the Cougars within 13-9 midway through the first half.

Nasuti scored MU's final seven points of the first half to keep them within 43-34 at intermission.

Eli Stoute made a three-pointer to open the second half, but Hood responded with a 20-8 run to pull away.

The Cougars will host Stevens in their MAC Freedom opener, Wednesday.
