The Misericordia University baseball team swept FDU-Florham, 3-2 and 16-2 in their doubleheader, Saturday.
Bryant Diaz went 3-5 on the day with two RBI and two runs scored while
Drew Van Horn added two hits and three RBI.
Bryan Henry and
John Schmidt both picked up wins for the Cougars.

The Cougars struck first in game one with a run in the top of the first.
Ben St. Pierre start the inning with a single through the right side and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and later scored on a passed ball.
After the Devils tied it up in the bottom half of the inning, Misericordia responded in the second inning.
Owen Daminger walked and moved to second when
Jake McDonough ripped a single through the left side. He scored on a St. Pierre ground out and Misericordia led 2-1.
FDU-Florham tied it in the bottom half of the inning, but Misericordia reclaimed the lead for good in the fifth inning.
Owen Cordner reached on a bunt single and stole second. He eventually scored the winning run on a passed ball.
Henry kept the Devils scoreless the rest of way while striking out four in the complete-game win.
Misericordia struck early in game two. Kanwisher doubled to right field and after
Gavin Dillard was hit by a pitch, he scored on a Diaz double down the left field line. Daminger walked and
Vin Proietto scored two runs on a single to right. Van Horn added two more runs on a single that dropped into left field. St. Pierre lashed a single to left field to score one more to give MU a 6-0 lead.
The Cougars added two more runs in the top of the second. Dillard and
Shane Patten hit back-to-back singles and Daminger was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Rafael Fernandez drove in a run on an infield single and
Michael Duda made it 8-0 with a sacrifice fly.
The Cougars added two more runs in the top of the fifth. St. Pierre doubled to right center and Kanwisher reached on an infield single. Â Dillard both singled in runs to give MU a 10-2 lead.
MU plated three more runs in the sixth inning. Duda scored another run for the Cougars on a single through the middle and St. Pierre and Kanwisher knocked in two more from back-to-back fielder's choices.
Joe Krasowski and Van Horn both had RBI-doubles in the seventh and
Aidan Paduck added a single to center field to extend Misericordia's lead to 16-2.
