The Misericordia University baseball team was swept by Lebanon Valley, 7-4, 7-5, Saturday at Tambur Field.

Owen Cordner had two hits and two RBI in game one and
Owen Daminger and
Brooks Kanwisher added two hits each.

Daminger had three hits with three runs scored in the second game and Kanwisher added a hit and three RBI while Dillard added two hits.
Â
Lebanon Valley took a 3-0 lead in game one, scoring one run in the first, third and fourth innings.

Misericordia started chipping away at the Flying Dutchmen lead in the bottom of the fourth. Dillard and Daminger hit back-to-back singles and
Ben St. Pierre's sacrifice fly cut LVC's lead to 3-1.

MU scored one more run in the bottom of the fifth inning when
Drew Van Horn reached on a hit by pitch and scored when Cordner connected on a double to right center.

Misericordia tied the game in the sixth inning. Daminger doubled down the left field line to start the inning, moved up on a sacrifice bunt and scored the tying run when Kanwisher singled down the left field line to tie the game at 3-3.

After Lebanon Valley scored four runs in the top of the eighth, the Cougars threatened in the bottom of the frame. Kanwisher and
Jake McDonough walked with one out and
Bryant Diaz singled through the left side to load the bases. Cordner came within feet of tying the game with a bases-loaded single off the wall in left to bring the winning run to the plate, but the Cougars stranded three runners.

In game two, the Flying Dutchmen took a 4-0 lead in the top of the second. Misericordia added a run in the bottom half of the inning. Daminger started the inning with a double to right center and later scored on Kanwisher's ground out to shrink Lebanon Valley's lead to 4-1.

LVC added one more run in the third and Misericordia responded with a run of their own in the fourth. Van Horn was hit by a pitch and Daminger walked and Kanwisher drove in another run on a groundout to make it 5-2.

The Flying Dutchmen added two more runs in the top of the fifth.

The Cougars added another run in the sixth inning on Kanwisher's single through the left side to make it a 7-3 game.

Misericordia attempted a comeback in the seventh inning when Peters' two-run triple brought the tying run to the plate, but the Dutchmen escaped the jam.
