The Misericordia University baseball team was swept by Arcadia, 5-4, 17-10, Sunday.

Owen Daminger had two hits with an RBI and a run scored in game one.
Joe Peters added a hit and two RBI.

Misericordia struck first in game one with two runs in the first inning.
Ben St. Pierre started the inning with a walk, then stole second and made it to third on a wild pitch. He scored on a groundout by
Gavin Dillard.
Shane Patten reached base on a single through the right side, and scored by a Daminger single to right center to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead.

Arcadia added a run in the top of the third, but MU answered in the bottom of the fourth inning. Patten walked and advanced to third on a single into right center by Daminger. Both scored on a single through the middle by Peters, and Misericordia led 4-1.

Arcadia added four runs in the top of the fifth inning, and Misericordia could not respond.

Peters added three hits with three RBI and a run scored. Patten had two hits with two RBI and two runs scored, including a 2-run home run.
Owen Cordner and Dillard also added two hits.

Arcadia plated four runs in the top of the first inning, but Misericordia answered with four runs of their own.
Vin Proietto started the inning with a single through the right side. Dillard reached on a error, and a run scored on a throwing error by the catcher. Patten stepped up and blasted a two-run home run over the right field fence. Diaz walked and made it to second on another throwing error. Peters singled up the middle to tie the game at 4-4.

The Knights put up a run in the second, but MU added a run in the third inning. Patten and
Bryant Diaz reached on back-to-back singles, and a run scored when Peters hit another single through the right side to tie the game at five.

Misericordia took their first lead in the fourth inning.
Michael Duda doubled to left center to start the inning. He scored when
Owen Cordner laced a triple into right field. Dillard singled to center field to score one more, and Misericordia led 7-5 after four innings.

Arcadia tied the game in the top of the fifth, but Misericordia answered back with two more runs in the bottom half of the inning. Daminger was hit by a pitch, and scored when Peters hit a double to right center. A sacrifice bunt by
Drew Van Horn moved him to third, and he scored on a ground out by Duda to make it 9-7 Cougars.

Arcadia then scored 10 straight runs, with five coming in the sixth, one in the seventh, two in the eighth, and two in the ninth.

Misericordia added one more run in the ninth on a
Jake McDonough sacrifice fly to center field.
