Box Score The Misericordia University baseball team lost game one of the best-of-three MAC Freedom Semifinals series at Arcadia, 6-3, Friday.
 
Gavin Dillard and Joe Peters each had two hits and a run scored while Brooks Kanwisher and Shane Patten both had two hits. Drew Van Horn drove in two runs.
 
Misericordia got on the board in the first inning. Dillard singled down the right field line and advanced to second on a Patten single through the middle. Bryant Diaz singled to left field to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
 
Arcadia tied the score in the bottom of the first and took a 2-1 lead in the second inning.
 
The Cougars threatened in the sixth, but left the bases loaded.
 
Arcadia added two runs each in the seventh and eighth innings to take a 6-1 lead.
 
Misericordia attempted the comeback in the ninth inning. Peters singled to right field and moved to second on an Owen Cordner infield single. Van Horn doubled to right center to score two runs and cut the Knights lead to 6-3.
 
The teams will meet Saturday at noon with MU needing a win to force a decisive game three.
