Five Cougars on All-MAC Freedom Baseball Team

Five members of the Misericordia University baseball team have been named to the All-MAC Freedom team, including three first team selections.
 
Bryan Henry was named to the first team as a starting pitcher while Zak Lussier was a first-team selection as a relief pitcher and Owen Cordner was named at third base.
 
Shane Patten made second team at first base and was co-Rookie of the Year while Gavin Dillard was the second-team designated hitter.
 
Henry was second in the league in wins (6) and earned run average (3.45).  He led the league with 78.1 innings pitched and was fourth with 55 strikeouts.
 
Lussier led the league with seven saves.  He had 26 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .213 batting average in 24 appearances.  He had a 2.58 earned run average in 38.1 innings of work.
 
Cordner hit .356 and was 12th in the league with 32 RBI.  He hit .469 with a .673 slugging percentage in 21 league games.  He was second on the team with 11 multi-RBI games.
 
Patten was 17th in the league in hitting at .377 and was 20th in on-base percentage (.463).  He tied for fourth with 43 RBI and was fifth with 60 hits.
 
He had a team-best 28-game reached-base streak.
 
Dillard finished 18th in the league in batting at .376 and fifth in runs scored (49).  He was 10th in the league with 56 hits and 17th in RBI (30).  He was fourth in the league with 15 doubles.
 
He had a team-high 20 multi-hit games.
