Tyler Mensch scored twice at Manhattanville.

MU Men Win Seventh Straight

Tyler Mensch scored two goals to lead the Misericordia University men's soccer team to its seventh consecutive victory, 6-1, Saturday at Manhattanville.

Cody Hack added a goal and an assist as the Cougars improved to 10-2 overall and 2-0 in the Freedom Conference.

Josh Stewart, Tim Bullis and Dan Pinto added goals for MU and Andrew Loyd made six saves for the Cougars.

Hack opened the scoring with an unassisted goal from 35 yards out at 9:36.

Stewart made it 2-0 with an assist from Cody Harman midway through the first period.

Leading 2-1 at halftime, Mensch scored twice in the first 20 minutes of the second period to make it 4-1.

Bullis made it 5-1 with 15 minutes remaining and Pinto closed out the scoring with three minutes to play.

The Cougars head to Delaware Valley, Oct. 11 at 2:30, for a conference match with the Aggies.
