Jay-P Evans scored the only goal of the game midway through the first period to lift the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over the University of Scranton, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
After
Tim Bullis played a long, diagonal pass to
Max Campbell down the right sideline, Campbell cut along the end line and served a ball to Evans for a 1-0 lead.
MU's back four of
Cody Harman, Alec Parker, Chris Hummel and
Tyler Anderson were outstanding while helping keeper
Andrew Loyd record the shutout.
Misericordia is 7-2 and will host Alvernia in their Freedom Conference opener, Saturday at 1:30.
