Nicole DeAngelis scored 10 goals, but it wasn't quite enough as the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team dropped its home opener to Centenary, 23-22, Wednesday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Shannon Tinkham added six goals and Jamie Wargo had three goals and an assist.

Krista Shenk added two goals and Jess Schwenk had one.

After falling behind 6-2, MU rallied to take a 15-13 halftime lead.

The Cougars led 20-18 with 10 minutes remaining, but the Cyclones rallied for five goals, including the game-winner with under a minute to play.

MU is 1-2 and will host Arcadia in their MAC opener, Saturday at 1:00.
