The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team lost in a driving rain at Wilkes, 25-8, Wednesday.

Shannon Tinkham led MU with four goals and two assists and Nicole DeAngelis added two goals.

Jessy Schwenk had a goal and an assist and Camilla Hansen added one goal.

The scoring was back-and-forth in the early going and the Cougars took a 6-5 lead midway through the first period.

Wilkes responded with a 9-0 run and the Colonels took a 16-8 lead into halftime.

The Cougars are 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the MAC and will host Widener, Saturday at 1:00.
