Manhattanville used a big third quarter to break open a close game enroute to an 8-2 win at Misericordia in Freedom Conference men's lacrosse action, Wednesday.

The Cougars trailed 2-1 at halftime before the Valiants scored five times in the third period to take a 7-2 lead.

Sean McGuigan scored both goals for MU with an assist from Pat McTague.

James Scott made 15 saves in goal for the Cougars.

Misericordia will visit DeSales, Saturday.
