Four Cougars Earn All-MAC Freedom Status, Simone is co-Rookie of the Year

Four members of the Misericordia University men's lacrosse team have been named to the All-MAC Freedom team, including first-team selection and co-Rookie of the Year Jack Simone.
 
Jack Simone was a first-team selection and was named co-Rookie of the Year while Ty Murawski and Danny D'Amato made the second-team and Leyton Sullivan earned honorable mention.
 
Simone was honored at attack after finishing second in the league with 5.06 points per game and 2.81 goals per game.
 
He was fourth in the league with 2.25 assists per game.
 
He recorded at least one point in all 16 games, including 11 points in a win over FDU-Florham, the second-highest single-game total in school history.
 
He scored seven goals in that contest and added six at King's and had a pair of five-goal games.
 
Murawski made the second team as a midfielder.  He was second on the team in scoring with 40 points (30g, 14a).
 
He was 11th in the league 2.75 points per game and was 14th with 1.88 goals per game.
 
He recorded at least one point in all but one game and had a season-high five goals in a win at Neumann.
 
D'Amato was named to the second team as a defender.  He anchored a defense that was second in the league in goals allowed.
 
He led the team and was 16th in the league with 1.0 caused turnovers per game.
 
Sullivan was 9-6 in goal with a 58.5 save % and 10.05 goals against average.
 
He had a season-high 23 saves against Stevens and had three games with 17 saves.
 
He ranked second in the MAC Freedom in save % and third in goals against average.
 
He was second in the league with 196 saves and was third with 12.25 saves per game.
