The Lycoming women's lacrosse team used a big second half enroute to an 18-9 win over Misericordia, Wednesday.
Lyco led 11-8 at halftime, but out scored MU 8-1 over the final 30 minutes.
Natasha Jankowsky led the Cougars with four goals and
Brittany Schorr added three.
Camilla Hansen and
Krista Shenk had one goal each.
Lycoming went up 1-0 just 18 seconds into the game before Schorr and Jankowsky tallied back-to-back goals to put MU ahead, 2-1.
Lyco scored twice to take a 3-2 lead with 20:15 to go in the first half and Schorr scored 35 seconds later to tie it 3-3.
Lycoming scored five straight goals to take and 8-3 lead at 13:38 before Schorr scored again to make it 8-4.
After another Lycoming goal, Jankowsky and Hansen scored consecutive goals to cut the deficit to 9-6 with 10:04 to play in the first half.
The team's exchanged goals the rest of the way with Jankowsky scoring twice for MU in the final 7:01 before halftime.
The Warriors opened the second half wth five goals in the first seven minutes before Shenk's goal made it 16-9 with 10:16 to play.
Brenna Bakera made 12 saves in goal.
Misericordia is 1-3 and will host Messiah, Saturday at 1:00.
