Emily Foley scored five goals to lead the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team to an 11-9 win over Lebanon Valley, Wednesday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.
Krista Shenk had three goals and
Natasha Jankowsky added two for the Cougars.
Brenna Bakera made 17 saves in goal.
Foley scored the game-winner to break a 9-9 tie with 5:35 to play and added an insurance goal as time expired.
She scored three of MU's first four goals as the Cougars took a 4-1 lead midway through the first period.
Shenk and
Brittany Schorr scored goals late in the first half as the Cougars took a 6-3 lead into halftime.
Shenk scored twice in the second period to give MU an 8-4 lead with 20:42 to play, but Lebanon Valley responded with four consecutive man-up goals to take a 9-8 lead with 9:48 to play.
Jankowsky scored a shorthanded goal to tie the score with 8:48 remaining.
MU is 2-8 and will play at Arcadia, Saturday.
