The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team lost a non-conference game at the University of Scranton, 20-7, Thursday.
Natasha Jankowsky, Camilla Hansen and
Emily Foley all scored two goals each for the Cougars.
Krista Shenk added one goal and
Brenna Bakera made five saves.
Scranton took a 2-0 lead before Jankowsky scored to make it 2-1 just under five minutes into the game. The Royals scored six straight goals to take an 8-1 lead midway through the first half.
Foley and Jankowsky scored back-to-back goals to make it 8-3 and Hansen scored off a Jankowsky assist to get within 9-4 with 9:56 left in the half.
Scranton closed the half on a 9-1 run with Hansen scoring for MU as the Cougars trailed 18-5 at halftime.
Shenk and Foley scored second half goals for the Cougars.
MU, 1-7, will visit Elizabethtown, Saturday.
