The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team lost its home and MAC opener Saturday, falling 17-4 to FDU-Florham.
Freshman
Kate Pagnotta continued her hot start to collegiate lacrosse, scoring twice to give her 11 goals in the first three games of the season. Senior
Camilla Hansen and junior
Emily Foley added goals.
Pagnotta's first goal of the game, less than five minutes into the action, tied the contest at 1-1. FDU scored the next three but Hansen kept it close early, making a nice move to tally from behind the goal.
Junior
Krista Shenk picked up a game-high ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers. Freshmen
Catie Viegas and
Alison Sacco each had three ground balls, as did Hansen.
The Cougars are 1-2, 0-1 and will travel to Immaculata on Tuesday.
