The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-6 decision at Manhattanville, Thursday.

Catie Viegas had two goals for the Cougars while Kate Pagnotta, Emily Foley, Camilla Hansen and Gabriella Cerrone all added one goal.

Cerrone's goal was the first of her collegiate career.

Manhattanville opened the scoring nearly five minutes into the game and Viegas scored two minutes later to tie it, 1-1.

Trailing 4-1, Viegas scored again midway through the half to get within 4-2.

The Valiants scored for straight goals before Pagnotta closed the first half scoring with 2:06 to play as the Cougars went to halftime down, 8-3.

Manhattanville opened the second half on a 10-0 run before the Cougars tallied three goals over the final nine minutes.

MU, 2-4 (0-3), will host Arcadia, Saturday at 1:00.
