Despite seven goals from
Emily Foley, the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team fell at Lebanon Valley, 19-12, Tuesday.
Catie Viegas added two goals while
Kate Pagnotta,
Kristen Mixon and
Krista Shenk all had one goal.
Camilla Hansen had two assists for MU.
Lebanon Valley jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Foley scored unassisted just over 10 minutes into the first half.
After another Dutchmen goal, Foley scored twice in a two-minute span to make it 7-3 with 13:55 to play in the half.
Leb Val responded with two goals before Foley scored with an assist from Hansen to make it 9-4 with 9:55 remaining.
The teams exchanged goals over the rest of the first half with Shenk and Mixon scoring for MU as the Cougars trailed 11-6 at halftime.
Viegas scored twice and Foley added another as the Cougars cut the deficit to 11-9 less than two minutes into the second half.
Lebanon Valley answered with eight consecutive goals to stretch the lead to 19-9 with 11:39 remaining.
Foley sandwiched a pair of goals around a Pagnotta tally over the final seven minutes.
Misericordia, 2-6, will host Widener, Saturday at 1:00.
