Jenny Perucca and
Kate Pagnotta were multiple-goal scorers but the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team fell 17-7, Saturday at Alvernia.
Perucca had two goals, while
Sydnie Battle and
Gabriella Cerrone each scored.
Jennifer Foley had three ground balls and caused a turnover.
Pagnotta had three goals to go with an assist, and reached the 30-goal mark for the season after a free position attempt with 18 seconds remaining in the game.
Pagnotta also opened the scoring with 25:18 to go in the first half, but Alvernia ran off 14 of the next 15 goals.
The Cougars scored three straight in the second half, beginning with Battle's goal at 21:14 and continuing with Perucca and Pagnotta.
MU is 2-9, 0-8 and will host Lycoming on Wednesday.
