Hannah Seely and
Christine Marks both scored 17 points as the Misericordia University women's basketball clinched a first round home game in next week's Freedom Conference Championships.
The Cougars ended the game on a 22-4 run over the final six minutes to wrap up second place while snapping the Monarchs' 13-game winning streak.
Misericordia improved to 15-9 (10-3) while King's dropped to 20-4 (12-1).
Jesse Robinson added 12 points for MU and
Tyann McDaniel had 11.
Paige Carlin led King's with 15 points and Katlin Michaels added 11.
Marks' buzzer-beating layup gave Misericordia a 46-41 lead with 10:22 to play, but the Monarchs responded with an 11-0 run to take a 52-46 lead with 6:21 remaining.
Celia Rader and Carlin made back-to-back three-pointers to give the Monarchs a 47-46 lead at 10:06.
After a three-minute scoreless drought, Samantha Simcox drained a three-pointer and followed with a short jumper to complete the run.
Robinson and Marks both made two free throws to get MU within two, 52-50, with 5:07 to go.
Michaels made it 53-50 with a free throw and Robinson answered for Misericordia with a putback at 4:24.
Robinson took an outlet pass from Marks and went all the way for a layup to give the Cougars a 54-53 lead with 3:54 to play.
Seely followed with two free throws and McDaniel made it 59-53 with a three-pointer to beat the shot clock with 2:30 to go.
Michaels' layup made it 59-55 with 2:21 left, but Seely's 12-foot jumper gave the Cougars a 61-55 advantage with 2:03 left.
Seely and Marks both sank a pair of free throws for a 65-55 lead with 1:15 to play.
After a Marks' free throw, Seely converted a steal into a layup and a 68-55 lead.
King's raced out to a 20-11 lead as they shot a blistering 61.5% (8-13) from the floor in the first 10 minutes.
Lauren Smicherko cut into the lead with a pair of free throws and McDaniel's pull-up jumper got MU within 21-15.
Smicherko drained a three-pointer from the corner to make it 22-18 with 6:33 left in the half.
After a layup by Michaels, Marks drained jumper from just inside the arc and Drayton followed with a baseline jumper to get within 24-22.
Following a jumper by Michaels, Marks Marks made two free throws and a short jumper to tie it, 26-26.
King's went ahead 29-26 on a three-point play by Carlin, but Robinson cut it to 29-28 on a nice pass from Seely on the ensuing inbounds.
Misericordia will end the regular season at Manhattanville while King's will face Wilkes.
