The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team scored three goals in the last 6:30 to defeat Immaculata, 15-14, Thursday at Mangelsdorf Field.
Melina Juliano scored seven goals and added four assists to propel MU to their second win of the season.
The Cougars jumped on top early when Juliano scored in 14 seconds off the opening draw to put MU on the board.
Krista Shenk and
Brooke North both added goals to put MU up 4-1 after six minutes of play.
The Mighty Macs ended the half on a 6-1 run to go up, 8-7, at the break.
Juliano opened the scoring three minutes into the second half to tie it at eight, but IU answered to go back up by one.
Emily Foley capped off a four goal streak for MU to make it 12-9 halfway through the second half. IU answered with four of their own to make it 13-12 with less than 10 minutes remaining.
Jenny Perucca scored off a pass from Juliano to tie it at 13 and Juliano made a defender miss and drove through the middle of the Mighty Mac's defense and buried a goal to put MU up for good.
Misericordia improved to 2-2, and will play at Scranton, Tuesday at 4:00.
