Sean McGuigan and J.R. Lauri combined for 10 goals to lead the Misericordia University men's lacrosse team to its sixth straight win, 16-3, Saturday at Alvernia.

Lee Blair added three goals and four assists and Andrew Reynolds, Nick Santillo and Kyle Calabro all scored goals.

Pat McTague had three assists and McGuigan added two.

Patrick Johnson notched seven saves in goal as the Cougars improved to 7-1.

After Alvernia grabbed a 1-0 lead five minutes into the first quarter, the Cougars answered with eight straight goals to take an 8-1 halftime lead.

McGuigan scored three times during the run while Blair added two tallies.

Lauri and McGuigan both scored twice in the third quarter as the Cougars stretched their lead to 12-2.

Alvernia opened the fourth quarter with a goal, but the Cougars responded with four straight goals to end the game.

Misericordia will host LaRoche, Wednesday at 6:00.
