Emily Foley had four goals and four assists to lead the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team to a 23-12 win, Saturday at Albright.
Krista Shenk and
Kate Pagnotta both added three goals and two assists and
Brooke North had three goals and one assist.
Gabriella Cerrone and
Melina Juliano both had three goals and
Colleen Hunt and
Emily Hegner both scored twice.
Erika Proctor made 13 saves in goal as the Cougars improved to 4-5.
After Albright took an early 1-0 lead, Cerrone scored on a free position shot to start a string of six straight goals to give MU a 6-1 lead with 17:22 remaining in the first half.
The teams exchanged goals throughout the rest of half as the Cougars took an 8-5 lead into halftime.
Hegner and North scored unassisted goals as the Cougars used a 7-1 spurt to take a 15-6 lead with 17:01 to play.
The Cougars will host Alvernia, Monday at 4:00.
