The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team lost to Elmira, 19-5, Sunday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.
Brooke North led the Cougars with two goals while Allie Elmes and a goal and an assist.

Jenny Perucca and Stephanie Piser both added goals.

Perucca led MU with four groundballs while Elmes and Alison Sacco both caused two turnovers.

North gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead when she stuffed home a goal in the opening minute.

Elmira scored 14 straight goals before North scored again off a nice pass from Catie Viegas with less than a minute to play before halftime.

Trailing 17-2 in the second half, Elmes scored on a free position goal with 11:18 to play.

Elmes then found Perucca from behind the cage and she placed a shot just under the crossbar to make it 18-4 with 7:27 remaining.

Piser closed out MU's scoring with an assist from Meghan DiGerolamo with 1:57 to go.

Misericordia, 0-7, visits Lebanon Valley, Tuesday.
