Box Score The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team dropped a heartbreaking 10-9 overtime decision at Utica, Friday.

Matt Gonzalez and Nick Santillo both scored twice while Trevor Bodnar, Kyle Calabro, Paul Stewart, Josh Schwartz and Jack Stang all added goals.

Patrick Johnson made 14 saves and led the Cougars with six groundballs.

Gonzalez gave the Cougars an early lead and the teams exchanged goals throughout the afternoon as neither team led by more than a goal.

Trailing 8-7 after three periods, Santillo tied it with an unassisted goal early in the fourth period.

He added a man-up goal with an assist from Calabro with 2:03 to play in regulation to send the game into overtime.

But, the Pioneers scored a rebound goal with 1:27 left in overtime.

MU, 4-4, will travel to the USMMA, Wednesday.
