The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team lost at Eastern, 23-14, Saturday.

Kate Pagnotta led MU with four goals while Catie Viegas, Brooke North, Ali Elmes and Emily Hegner all added two.

Eastern scored the first three goals of the game before Jenny Perucca got the Cougars on the board with 24:51 to play in the first half.

Eastern scored four straight before Pagnotta scored to get MU within 7-2 with 19:47 left in the half.

After Eastern went up 12-5 with 10:25 to go, Elmes, Melina Juliano, Pagnotta and Viegas combined for four straight goals to cut the deficit to 12-9 with 1:27 to go before halftime.

The Eagles scored for straight goals early in the second half to take a 17-10 lead.

Misericordia will host Albright, Thursday.
