Melina Juliano scored four times, but the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team couldn't keep up with Albright, falling to the Lions 22-8 on Thursday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.
Brooke North posted three goals for the Cougars while
Catie Viegas added the remaining goal.
Albright jumped out to a 4-1 lead, but Juliano answered with two straight goals to cut the deficit to 4-3 with 20:58 remaining. After three straight Lions' goals, a North goal would make it a 6-4 game. Albright answered with four more goals before another North goal and one from Viegas made it 10-6 with 4:48 remaining in the half.
The Lions closed the half with three straight goals to lead 13-6.
After a Juliano goal just 40 seconds into the second half, the Lions rattled off nine consecutive goals before North scored with just six seconds remaining.
MU closes its season on Saturday when they host Arcadia at 1:00 PM. The Cougars will honor senior
