MU Women's Lax Falls at Wilkes

Box Score The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-10 decision at Wilkes, Thursday evening.

Liz Mulvey led the Cougars with five goals and two assists and Erin Baker added four goals.

Ali Sacco had a team-high four groundballs and Allies Elmes had three groundballs and three draw controls.

Katie McLoughlin had 17 saves in goal.

Wilkes scored the first five goals of the game and built an 8-1 lead with 3:16 left in the first half.

Mulvey scored twice in the final 2:29 of the half and opened the second half with a goal to get MU within 8-4.

Baker's goal made it 9-5 less than five minutes into the second half.

Trailing 12-6, the Cougars scored three straight goals in a four-minute span.

Mulvey scored unassisted and Baker followed with a free position goal to make it 12-8.

Mulvey added a short-handed goal to pull with 12-9 with 14:50 to play, but the Colonels ended the game on a 6-1 run.

Misericordia will host Manhattanville for the regular season finale, Saturday afternoon at McGeehan Field.
