Box Score The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team dropped a tough 12-10 decision at Wesley College on Wednesday night in Dover, DE.

Patrick Kellish led the Cougars with three goals and one assist while
Lane Kocovsky and
Chris Fleming added two goals each.
Trevor Bodnar,
Andrew Reynolds and Phillip Fraher chipped in with one goal each.
Patrick Johnson had 16 saves in the loss.

MU dominated the first quarter with a relentless offense and a suffocating defense. Reynolds gave the Cougars the early lead and Kellish added two of his three goals to give MU a 3-0 advantage after the first 15 minutes.

Fleming added another, extending the Cougars' lead to 4-0. However, Nate Gemmato added his first goal of the game to bring the Wolverines within 4-1 with 11 minutes left in the second quarter.

Fraher responded with his only goal of the game giving MU a 5-1 lead midway through the second.

The Wolverines picked up two quick goals late in the second, cutting the Cougars' lead to 5-3 at the half.

Kocovsky scored his first goal of the game early in the third to extend MU's lead to three at 6-3.

Wesley answered with one of its own just two minutes later to make it a two-goal game yet again.

Kellish responded for the Cougar's with a goal to again make it a three-goal game.

The Wolverines took over late in the third and extended their offensive success into the fourth quarter, going on a 6-0 run and taking an 11-7 lead with just eight minutes left.

MU added a 3-0 run of its own with goals from Fleming, Bodnar and Kocovsky, cutting the Woleverine's led to 11-10 with four minutes left.

The Cougars couldn't get the equalizer and Wesley added a goal with six seconds left to take the 12-10 victory.

With the loss, MU falls to 2-3 while Wesley improves to 4-1 on the season.

The Cougars return to action Saturday afternoon at 1:00 against Lycoming College at Mangelsdorf Field.
