Box Score Despite four goals from
Brooke North, the Misericordia University women's lacrosse team lost at Hartwick, 11-8, Thursday afternoon.
Melina Juliano had two goals and two assists and
Olivia Garcia and
Liz Mulvey scored one goal each.
Hartwick scored three goals in a four-minute span to break a 7-7 tie with 12:02 remaining.
Garcia scored to pull MU within 10-8 with 5:16 to play, but Hartwick added a goal in the final minute.
Hartwick opened the scoring at 28:22 of the first half and Juliano tied it 10 minutes later.
Hartwick pulled ahead less than a minute later and North responded with two goals to give MU a 3-2 lead midway through the first half.
Hartwick answered with three straight goals to take a 5-3 lead with 3:08 to go in the first half.
Juliano scored with 1:04 left, but Hartwick scored with 35 seconds to play to take a 6-4 lead at halftime.
Allie Elmes had four groundball and seven draw controls and
Taylor Simeone had four groundballs and seven caused turnovers.Â
Ashley Hobbs added four groundballs and
Katie McLoughlin had six saves.
Misericordia, 8-7, will host FDU-Florham in a battle for first place in the Freedom Conference, Saturday at 1:00.
